The Progress tab

Your balance, month by month — including the months that go the wrong way.

Overview

Progress keeps the record. It totals how much you have paid off since you started, sets today’s balance against the one you began with, and charts every month as a bar with that month’s interest printed below it. Debt payoff is slow work, and slow work needs evidence.

  1. Slide titled “See your progress.” The DebtPath IQ Progress tab shows “Debt paid off 16%” with a progress bar, above the note that $12,553 has been paid off of a $78,500 starting balance, started November 2025, and a green line reading “You’ve freed up $360 a month in required payments since you started.” Three summary cards report debt now $65,947 down $12,553 since start, monthly payment $2,120 down $360 since start, and card usage 42% down 13 points since start, each change shown in green. Below, a “Consumer debt by month” bar chart runs from November through July with each bar labelled — $78,500, $76,200, $77,100, $73,800, $71,500, $72,200, $68,900, $65,947, $65,947 — trending downward but rising in January and again in April, with the interest charged that month printed beneath each bar.
A real year, not a brochure year

Nine months of real work, totalled honestly. 16% paid off — $12,553 gone from a $78,500 starting balance, and all three cards are green: the balance down $12,553, the required monthly payment down $360, and card usage down 13 points. That middle number is the Cash Flow method proving itself — this household does not merely owe less, they owe less every month, and the app says so in its own line: you have freed up $360 a month.

Now look closely at the chart, because this is the part a brochure would have airbrushed. January is higher than December. April is higher than March. Two months went the wrong way, and DebtPath IQ™ plots them exactly as they happened rather than smoothing the line into a tidy slope. That is what makes the other seven months believable — and it is why the total at the top can be trusted.
